Dolcificio Gi&sse | Frozen doughnuts and ring doughnuts production

Excellence admits of no compromise. Goodness is (also) a question of quality

Dolcificio Gi&sse has always paid great attention to the quality of its products and processes. Every day, dozens of microbiological and physical-chemical checks are carried out on both products and processes.

Peroxide levels, storage temperatures of ingredients and finished products, their general appearance and surface browning, the possible presence of foreign bodies are monitored… All significant parameters are tested in order to obtain deep-frozen fried sweet pastries with quality levels that meet standards. Included in the various tests is sensory testing, performed by professional tasters with over 20 years’ experience.

IFS certification is an important requirement for food suppliers who, like Dolcificio Gi&sse, want to operate on the national and international market. It guarantees customers that the products are safe and of high quality, and that the company complies with current regulations.

RSPO - Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil

RSPO is a global certification system which guarantees that the palm oil used in our sweet pastries is produced in a sustainable manner, meeting certain environmental, social and economic standards. Halal - Europe Islamic Association

Halal - Europe Islamic Association
Halal certification verifies that a product complies with Islamic law and can be consumed by Muslims. This certification primarily applies to food and beverages, ensuring that they have been prepared according to specific standards and do not contain ingredients prohibited by Islamic law.

Dolcificio Gi&sse considers the health of end consumers a top priority. For this reason, it is committed to using only high quality ingredients and to ensuring the safety of its products.

No to the use of HYDROGENATED FATS
Hydrogenated fats can have negative effects on health: they can, for example, increase the risk of heart diseases. For this reason, Dolcificio Gi&sse only uses ingredients that do not contain hydrogenated fats. It is a choice motivated not just by health reasons. Hydrogenated fats can, in fact, change the taste and consistency of sweet pastries. Moreover, hydrogenated fats are produced with a process that can have a negative impact on the environment.

No to the use of GMOs
Dolcificio Gi&sse fried sweets do not contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). All ingredients are carefully selected and come from suppliers who certify that they meet strict quality standards. As a further factor in the genuineness of the company’s products, these standards include no GMOs.

Only Italian flours
Dolcificio Gi&sse has chosen to use only flours whose provenance is known. Therefore, all our flours are produced in Italy.

Only eggs from free-range hens
Dolcificio Gi&sse only uses eggs that come from farms where the hens spend their lives moving freely, spreading their wings and pecking, enjoying a higher level of well-being than those reared in cages.

Dolcificio Gi&sse is also working to develop a label that is an authentic “clean label”:
a tool to give the consumer clear and precise information on the list of ingredients, reduced to a minimum and of natural origin, without synthetic chemical additives. The term “clean label” refers not only to the composition of the product, but also to the way in which it is produced and processed, an additional piece of information for consumers who are looking for naturally and organically produced products.
